"Childhood Dreams is one of my favorite songs to play live right now. It really connects with people. I wrote the song in early 2018. My Producer, Billy Childz, and I did the track at Sabella Studios in Roslyn, NY, and It was mastered by Tony Gillis at The Cutting Room Studios in NYC. The video version weaves in some live audio, so you’ll have to wait on the album for the full studio cut, but I think it fits the vibe of the track really well. I made sure one of my people was in the crowd filming this song at pretty much every show. I find that fun, how the whole video was pretty much done on a phone. It meshes with the satirical side of the track without interfering with the message. That’s the most important part of the track for me. I think art is open to interpretation, i feel, the song is about how people are losing personal connections with each other. It seems like it’s happening more often, the more we get “connected” through technology. But even now, I’m writing this on an Iphone; it’s not something I’m telling people to escape from. I guess I’d like to help bring awareness to it, and I know a lot of people feel the same way, that's why they connect with it when I’m on the road. That’s not why I wrote this song though. I didn’t write this song for any other reason then to make a hot song. That's what I do every time, and I think I express my opinion on every song, I’m an opinionated person. If people hear this track and agree with my opinion, I’m always happy to lead the charge on a good idea, but I’m not trying to force feed my ideas to people either. That’s why we did the video in cell phone style. We wanted to make something real. This is the first song I’ve released in a little while and Childhood Dreams says something. It stands for something.
